The German Hotel Association (IHA) developed specific general terms and conditions for the hotel sector, for example in the range of admission of hotels, of events, and car park.  All of these are approved by the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) and complimented by the headquarter of competition as "law conform".

  • German hotel industry market research 2010

The German Hotel Association (IHA) launches a market research of the German hotel sector once a year. The report uncludes the analysis of processes, strategies, and structures of the German hotel sector. It also shows the cyclical development and its effects on the operating income. The report is a contemporary indicator for the hotel sector.

Our current advisory service introduces our 44 Preferred Partners. These companies are involved with the hospitality sector. In our brochure our partners present themselves: their companies, their products, and their services - specific for the hotel sector.

The compendium of branded hotels provides full and in-depth analysis of the main operators in Germany and their activities. The compendium is published once a year. Over the years it became an essential source of information to the interested public. The compendium gives information about adresses of headquarters, brand names, management, numbers of hotels (abroad/inland), habitats, structures, numbers of rooms, turnover, and operating rates.
