Political engine and communication facilitator: The platform for Germany's hotel industry

The German Hotel Association (IHA) exercises influence over political changes on national, European, and international level that could effect on the hotel business.

 

We represent the interests of our industry to

-          the German Government and German Parliament on federal level,

-          the European Commission and the European Parliament at European level, and

-          international organizations.

As a federal association we inform about the concernment of hotel and accommodation industry in Germany, its economic development, and its inimitable services. Objectively, comprehensively, and transparently - inwards and outwards.

 

As trade association of the hotel and accommodation industry we aim to preserve and to strengthen the economical potential, the competitiveness and the prestige of our industry in general and of our members in particular. We consolidate private hotels, hotel cooperatives and hotel chains with their different form of businesses, and create in this way a fundaments for a common performance and understanding.

 

As a hotel business and communication platform we connect this industry with public, politics and leading market partners. By collaborating closely with leading market partners (Preferred Partners) and related associations we create synergy effects and a sensible completion of our own competence and strength.
